Housekeeping is probably one of the least popular household chores: with these tips, you can extend the time between two major cleanings!

There are those who enjoy the order of order in the chaos, and thanks to their persistent, many hours, or even a few days of work, cleanliness is restored in their homes: and we are the ones who are almost trembling with fear at the word of the great cleansing. Work that seems hopeless, and never-ending, should be done from time to time, but if you keep your home tidier during two major cleanups, you can extend the time between two tedious major cleanups.

Plan well in advance!

Set up a cleaning schedule – it may seem daunting at first, but in reality, it is liberating to know when to get started. 

YOU CAN ASSIGN SUBTASKS TO YOURSELF EACH DAY, OR YOU CAN APPOINT A DAY OR TWO A WEEK WHEN YOU TURN TO MAINTENANCE WORK FOR A LITTLE MORE CARE.

Depending on how much time you have and the degree of cleanliness you consider required in your home, you can also create a weekly or monthly schedule for intermediate cleaning.

To do this, walk around the apartment, mapping out problem areas, including much-used or remote areas. Determine which rooms or surfaces you tend to have the most trouble with, and then start compiling the list.

The clean-up avoidance starts!

Feel free to leave rooms such as rarely used and less cleaned storage out of your weekly or monthly routine. The hallway, living room, kitchen, and bedrooms will have a good chance of being added to the list, but if you have a guest room that you really only entered when your guest arrives, it doesn’t require you to vacuum every week.

Define the tasks in each room from floor to ceiling: you probably won’t wash your window every week, so it’s a good idea to compile a list so that it also has some infrequent subtasks.

Timing is the key

Once you’re done with your to-do lists, review them and, knowing your own schedule, decide how often you’ll clean up, whether you plan to complete your tasks on a weekly or monthly basis.

THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO DISTRIBUTE TASKS: IF YOU PREFER TO PACK EVERYTHING IN ONE DAY AND HAVE TIME FOR IT, YOU CAN GO BEYOND IT ALL, BUT YOU CAN ALSO DIVIDE EACH ROOM ACCORDING TO THE DAYS OF THE WEEK.

You can also choose to save half an hour every day: do whatever it fits, and the next day you move on from where you finished last time.

Add the to-do list to your calendar or print it out somewhere so you always know exactly what to do next. Once the first month has passed, it’s worth rethinking whether everything went the way you wanted it to if not, it’s worth trying changes.
